Samsung G800 Compared to Samsung G600 : New Samsung G800 New cellphone new mobile model review 2008

High specification camera phones are now a common offering in the UK mobile phones market, it was only months ago that the first model was released that heralded a new era in mobile photography as mobile phones were now able to offer similar specification camera lenses as those of standalone digital cameras. The idea behind this new breed of cameraphones is to tempt a user to leave the house with only one gadget rather than three or four, the mobile phone manufacturers are adding more features to their latest models such as satellite navigation, advanced mp3 players and email services in a bid to encompass all that is needed when out and about. The first high specification camera phone was the Nokia N95 offering a 5.0 megapixel camera, mp3 player, satellite navigation and a whole host of connection options for internet browsing and email collection. This clever little device has set a president for future models and has already been upgraded with the release of the Nokia N95 8GB version which has a larger memory for file storage and longer battery life to deal with the range of features.Next came the Samsung G600, and this is the one we are interested in, although other models from other manufacturers such as the Sony Ericsson K850i and LG Viewty KU990 have been released it is the G600 samsung that has already been upgraded to the new Samsung G800.Similar although slightly different in appearance the G800 takes on a more squarer design than the G600 with some chrome accents for the navigational keys and offers enhanced photographic features such as a new lens cover manufactured from faux leather to protect the lens when not in use.Other new technology includes the addition of 3x optical zoom and a 5.8 to 17.4mm autofocus range, a far superior version of the zoom function available in the G600 model, it does not lose focus and provides extra quality for close up picture capture. The G800 has also had its flash upgraded to a Xenon light, this makes low light condition photographic far clearer and brighter. This extra technology has added some 30g of weight to the handset and a little extra depth and width but the overall length of the phone has stayed the same.Successor to the Samsung G600, the Samsung G800 can not just take the perfect picture but can record video clips and provide the user with a personal entertainment system with its onboard Media Player.Offering bluetooth wireless with A2DP stereo support and USB connectivity, the user can listen to MP3 tracks through bluetooth headphones and synchronise files with a PC.Users can download music and create playlists, browse online content, access emails and view attachments with the document viewer, the Samsung G800 offers a user friendly interface that is easy to navigate plus there is a dedicated one touch option to the handsets camera feature for quick picture capture. The 2.3 inch 240 x 320 pixel screen display is slightly larger than that of the G600 and makes text easier to read and images finer with greater clarity displayed in 256,000 colours whilst the 60MB of internal memory can be expanded with the microSD card slot. The Samsung G800 is a big improvement on what is still a high specification handset making the new model a showcase for the new technology that the manufacturer has developed.

Words Of N95 Vs iPhone â€" 3 Attributes : New cellphone new mobile model review 2008

Words Of N95 Vs iPhone â€" 3 Attributes
by TomFred

Much words and conflicting debate are widely spread between Nokia N95 and iPod iPhone which both are landmarks in the mobile phone industry. The two giant phones leave us abounding imaginations and topics of what ultimate form a mobile phone could be and how our life will be changed. By doing a detailed research I find 3 attributes that are shared by most popular phones. In terms of attractive and impressive form design, I think N95 outdo iPhone in this aspect. N95 touts itself with the unique dual slide on the traditional yet still popular handy bar. While iPhone looks nothing more than a brick. I mean bulk. History of cell development already told us every fully researched and usability based new design that evoked customer resonance were widely adopted and popularized. Clamshell mobile phone, slide mobile phone both design were very hot at a time and caused shopping rush.
Acknowledging this, many mobile phone brands grip a special form design as one of the advantages to compete their rivals. Take Nokia 7900 Prism as a instance. The prism gains large attentions by its prism keyboard and marked as a stylish phone. Actually 7900 has no significant improvements than its cousins but the special design do adds elegance and beauty.
Power functions. A mobile phone is no longer a phone what people think before and should not be limited by the word. New functions drive people empty their pocket to try to own the device.
Both N95 and iPhone are feature-packed phones. iPhone features double touch, integrated google map that are new technologies that never appear on cell before. Function explosion make mobile phones more sophisticated and user-friendly, making it an essential tool for a modern life.
N95 is more prone to be felt like a grand traditional giant mobile phone. It has built-in GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, FM, etc and most of all smart OS and the extremely unparalleled camera which are fascinations of millions of camera phone fanatics. Conversely, iPhone gives us a new fresh feeling of concept phone. iPhone is a phone full of secrets, unlimited access of Internet and superb experience of multimedia given that iPod dominates the world with its music device series.
User friendliness. The king of mobile phone spirit. A cell phone should put user experience as its first and foremost consideration. Nokia believe a mobile phone should give the user freedom of communications. That why all Nokia cells have keyboard for fast text messaging. And this thought also wonderfully represented in N95 dual slide. iPhone had no keyboard but its dual touch and virtual keyboard fill this void. Also noticed, the size of the screen is getting bigger and more colorful. This is following the trend of customer based multimedia entertainment. A big colourful screen is sure to be a unbeaten feature that gives vivid movie showing and game playing. iPhone is the pioneer of this principle by rolling out the 3.5 inch screen device. And Nokia N95, a 2.6 inch screen is seldom seen in other Nokia series.

Nokia 6315i Review - A Review of the Nokia 6315i Cell Phone
by Jonathan Baker

The Nokia 6315i cellular phone employs a clamshell design with a stub extendable antenna providing camera and MP3 music capability in addition to many cell phone features. The 1.8 inch internal display uses a 176 by 220 pixel format and 262,144 colors to present quality, colorful images.

With the phone closed the external 1 inch screen displays the date, time, signal strength, and battery life. In addition, the external screen displays Caller ID when a call arrives, and the capability is also provided to display the caller’s photo. Standard internal memory is 21.5 megabytes, expandable to 2 gigabytes via an externally accessible MicroSD memory card slot. A “Flight Mode” function disables wireless features while allowing use of all functions, such as the MP3 music player, not requiring wireless connection.

The 1.3 mega pixel camera utilizes an integrated LED flash, and provides a 2x digital zoom function. A self timer provides up to 3 minutes delay. Video recording and playback occurs at 15 frames per second, and records 15 second clips. If supported by the network service, pictures and video messages can be stored in on-line photo albums.

MP3 music functionality is standard and if supported by the phone network enables downloading of music and creation of libraries and play lists on the phone. A great feature of the 6315i for people who use the MP3 player a lot is that the buttons to control the MP3 player are on the front of the phone and allow music control without the need to open the clamshell.

Phone functions are extensive and include hands free voice calling, voice commands, voice recording, speed dial, vibrate alert, and an integrated speaker phone.

For text messaging, the Nokia 6315i uses T9 predictive keying software for fast, accurate text entry. Short Message Service, Multimedia Messaging Service, and Enhanced Messaging Service protocols are supported. Fast, accurate text entry is provided via T9 Predictive Text Entry functions.

Network communication is via CDMA EVDO 800/1900 MHz, and WAP 2.0 mobile internet browser functionality is provided. Integrated A-GPS location is provided if supported by a cell phone network product such as Verizon’s Wireless VZ Navigator. Wireless connectivity to other devices is supported via Bluetooth 1.1 and the phone can be used as a modem when connected to a Personal Computer via the USB port.

The Nokia 6315i offers high end phone functionality with essential MP3 music and camera capability.
